Andrew Elliott - Senior Stylist
Andrew's Work Hours
Coming from a hairdressing family I was exposed to the craft at an early age and I was fascinated by how you could make a real difference to how someone felt about themselves. Hairdressing became my career choice. I began in earnest in 1987 and have never looked back. I was trained by some very talented stylists and in 1989 took great joy in representing NZ at the Youth Skill Olympics in the UK. This began my desire to work overseas where I spent time in the UK, further developing my skills.
I love cutting and working with the hair allowing it to do it's natural thing, so that the style is always easy for the client to look after. Colouring hair offers the opportunity to accentuate the cut and can lead to a really complete unique style for the client.
Styling Tools: My hands are my favourite styling tool. I like to show my clients how they too can use theirs to manage their hair. I also love all the heat tools as they make the hair soft and shiny whether it is straight, curly, flat or full.
Trends: I am loving the fades and quiffs for the guys and the soft waves and big hair for the ladies.
Haircare: Soft natural products that tame but let the hair move.
Community volunteering for different projects. Restoration and anything to do with getting out with nature.
